Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute Announces its Newest Members of the Board12:17 AM
The Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute (CHCI) announced the new members of its Board of Directors and Advisory Council, as well as the full slate of officers for 2017-2018.
"I am honored to serve as CHCI's Chair and am excited to work alongside the organization's dedicated staff, alumni, and program participants, as well as our new Board and Advisory Council members," Rep. Joaquin Castro said. "Serving during this term is particularly special as we approach the 40th anniversary of the CHCI, marking four decades of progress for the Latino community. From working to diversify membership in Congress, to developing young Latinos to lead in the public, private, and nonprofit sectors, this landmark year is reason for great pride and it inspires us to continue our efforts for another 40 years of service to our community."
"CHCI is a smart investment. Latinos will account for one out of two new workers entering the workforce by 2025. According to a Nielsen report, Hispanic buying power will reach $1.7 trillion by 2020. Corporations and organizations who partner with us demonstrate their commitment to diversity while cultivating relationships with the next generation of Latino leaders." Domenika Lynch, President and CEO of CHCI, said. "As CHCI undergoes an important evolution, it is imperative to rely on the wisdom, experience and leadership that our new Board and Advisory Council members bring to the table. We are fortunate to have them by our side as we continue to strengthen our programs and grow our capacity to serve the Latino community."Take a moment to view the full list of the CHCI Board of Directors and Advisory CouncilAdvisory Council.
