Los Angeles Kings defenseman/assistant captain Drew Doughty has been selected to represent the Pacific Division in the 2019 NHL All-Star Game in San Jose, the National Hockey League announced on January 2, 2019.

The game takes place on January 26, at SAP Center beginning at 5 p.m.

The announcement marks the fifth consecutive NHL All-Star Game selection for Doughty and fifth overall.

Doughty also represented the Kings at the 2018 All-Star Game in Tampa Bay; the 2017 All-Star Game at STAPLES Center; the 2016 All-Star Game in Nashville; and the 2015 All-Star Game in Columbus. He also participated in the 2009 NHL YoungStars Game in Montreal during All-Star Weekend.

Doughty has played in all 41 games for the Kings this season and has 22 points (3-19=22). He leads the Kings in assists and is tied for second in club scoring. He also leads the team in TOI (26:41), which is the most among all NHL skaters (Doughty last season also led the NHL in this category).

Last month Doughty played in his 800th regular season game and he became the franchise leader in points among defensemen all-time.

On Tuesday night in Las Vegas he played in his 369th consecutive regular season game, also a franchise record.

The Kings begin a two-game homestand on January 3, 2019 when they host the Tampa Bay Lightning at STAPLES Center. Game time is 7:30 p.m. For all Kings ticket information call 1-888-KINGS-LA and visit LAKings.com.
