Jesus Figueroa,@Thisfunktional of ThisFunktional.com, talks with filmmaker Oscar Torre and actress Chuti Tiu about dramatic feature film A SUMMER NIGHT. A Summer Night tells the story of Summer (Chuti Tiu), an exotic dancer and recovering alcoholic, who is plunged into a race against time to raise money for her mother's experimental cancer treatment over the course of one night. However, the enforced isolation of the pandemic, means she must seek out a series of clients virtually in order to dance for them – all the while knowing that the clock is ticking. Throughout the night, Summer tries to stay focused on her mission while still dealing with the remnants of her relationship with her boyfriend, the threat of succumbing to the lure of the bottle, and also finding surprising – and possibly life-saving moments of humanity, as the night wears on and her deadline approaches.
