Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson leads the Joes in "G.I. Joe Retaliation" presented in 2D and 3D.
Action, comedy, and a good storyline drive this story forward.
Roadblock, played by "The Rock," leads the Joes after an ambush leaves the a small group of Joes to defeat the Cobras.
"The Rock" is powerful and heroic throughout the film fighting his way through obstacles and the dreaded Cobra Commander, played by Luke Bracey, and his henchmen, Storm Shadow, played by Byung-hun Lee, Firefly, played by Ray Stevenson, and Zartan, played by Arnold Vosloo.
Stevenson matches up well to the muscular "The Rock" as he faces off against Roadblock twice in the film.
Bracey brings a fierce Darth Vader-like attitude to Cobra Commander. Although there was no action from Cobra Commander his presence is felt and feared.
Lee has amazing skills showing off some martial arts skills when facing Snake eyes, played by Ray Park.
RZA makes an appearance as Blind Master and underplays the role. There was really nothing special about his character and seemed to just be stuck in there for no reason what so ever.
The Joes face adversity with the small group left after being ambushed. Snake Eyes trains with Jinx, played by Elodie Yung, while Roadblock leads Flint D.J. Cotrona, and Lady Jaye, played by Adrianne Palicki, through the turmoil they are left in.
The Joes seek out the help of the original G.I. Joe General Joe Colton, played by Bruce Willis.
Willis steals every scene he is in being witty and charismatic.
Palicki has her strong role or a sharpshooter and shows of her seductive side throughout with two scenes that have her utilizing her curvaceous body as bait for two male suspects.
There was nothing special about Cotrona's performance
The story is filled with action and takes audiences on a wild ride.
"G.I. Joe Retaliation" opens in 2D and 3D March 28.
