Grammy® 2014: Draco, Aleks Syntek, Intocable, and Rafa Arcaute are SESAC Latina's nominees
Honoring the finest music of the year, the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (NARAS) has announced its nominees for the 56th Annual Grammy® Awards. And SESAC Latina-affiliated artists have earned four nominations in three categories.
In the category of Best Latin Pop Album, SESAC Latina nominees include the recent Latin Grammy® winner Draco Rosa for "Vida" and Aleks Syntek for "Syntek." Both artists are signed to Sony Music Latin.
In the category of Best Latin Rock, Urban or Alternative Album, SESAC Latina is represented by the nomination of Illya Kuryaki and The Valderramas for "Chances," produced by our affiliated artistRafa Arcaute. The group recently won the Latin Grammy® for Best Urban Song with "Ula Ula."
In the category of Best Regional Mexican Album, the legendary group Intocable is nominated for "En Peligro De Extinción" (In Danger of Extinction), featuring the chart-topping single written by group co-founder and SESAC Latina affiliate Ricky Muñoz, "Te Amo (Para Siempre)" (I Love You Forever).
SESAC Latina-affiliated songwriters and artists are nominated in three of the five Latin music categories at the upcoming Grammy®.
The 2014 Grammy® Awards will be telecast live 8-11:30 p.m. ET, Sunday, January 26, on CBS, live from Los Angeles' Staples Center.
