J Quiles begins his musical career with "Orgullo"  |
Miami, Florida (December 16th, 2013) - Singer-songwriter J Quiles belongs to a special generation influenced by hip-hop, radio hits and a new musical genre: Latin urban music. At young age this promising star -born in Bridgeport, Connecticut- understood that music would be his main instrument to express feelings and ideas. When he was five, J Quiles moved to Aguadilla, Puerto Rico with his mother running away from a trouble home. Music was his shelter and sanctuary while mom was working nonstop. Soon, toys and child games were forgotten and music was a priority and on the streets of his neighborhood Villa Linda he meets the sounds of new generation of reggaetton stars: Vico C, Tempo and Los Bambinos, among others. Therefore he found a new and real passion: rap and composing lyrics. He was very young but had already a unique style, he was respected by friends, neighbors and classmates. His obsessions were writing, improving lyrics and crafting his own style. That was his only priority during those teenage years until he moved back to the US to Orlando, Florida with his mom. At that point he had grand street credibility as musician combined with the strong influence of Music from Puerto Rico; J Quiles was set to begging his own musical journey. He graduated from High School in 2007 and already was a household name for local promoters, getting attention and invitations to be part of concerts and shows around town. Soon the classroom was replaced for local recording studios and his passion was the main force to keep writing, composing original tunes and recording. Soon those first songs were viral hits and his music was navigating new territories. In 2009, J Quiles recorded "Se Safo" with Genio & Baby Johnny, which became an Internet radio smash hit and propelled J Quiles to a short list of upcoming talent. The very next year J Quiles recorded his debut single "Algo Contigo" along with its video being directed by Fernando Lugo. Having amassed over 3 Million YouTube views on the video, J Quiles caught the attention of E One's new Latin Label, Rich Music. Today J Quiles is an experienced musician, even at his young age. He is ready to jump to professional arenas with his new single "Orgullo" (Pride); a song that represents the official presentation of his new and promising career. J Quiles knows the streets, the reggeatton and Latin Urban music roots; he has hip-hop and rap in his blood and many hours of experience in the studio and on stage. "Orgullo" is already a hit playing in over 20 radio stations in the US, Puerto Rico and Latin America. With an upcoming video, "Orgullo" will be available digitally this December 17th in all digital platforms.
