McDonald's restaurants of Southern California have kicked-off a partnership with the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) to host "Coffee with a Cop" events in their restaurants located within the City of Los Angeles.
McDonald's of Southern California has committed to hosting Coffee with a Cop at restaurants throughout the city at least once per month.
The mission of "Coffee with a Cop" is to break down barriers between police officers and the citizens they serve.
These events are relaxed, informal and are a great way to build mutual trust and enjoy a stress free conversation with police officers.
McDonald's of Southern California is proud of to be part of the communities it serves.
Through involvement in youth sports, local charities, and community events, giving back is an essential part of the way we operate every day.
"As McDonald's owner/operators our number one priority is to be a good neighbor no matter where we do business," Ti Chang, McDonald's owner/operator, said. "We are very excited to invite our friends and neighbors into our restaurants to create positive community engagement and dialog with our local police officers."
"Coffee with a Cop is a great opportunity to bring the community, and members of the police department together to exchange ideas, address concerns and share in conversation over a great cup of McDonald's Coffee," Charlie Beck, the chief of the Los Angeles Police Department, said. "We're proud to partner with McDonald's and are grateful for their insight and vision to help build a better community.""Coffee with a Cop" events are an easy way to get to know the men and women who serve the community and let citizens know about the issues that matter most to them.
They bring police officers and the communities they serve together over coffee to discuss issues and learn more about each other.
