Honda Canada Inc. reported June sales of 18,754 Honda and Acura vehicles, down 2.6 percent from the previous year. The Honda Automobile Division reported June sales of 17,006 units sold, down 2.4 percent from the previous year, while the Acura Division reported June sales of 1,748 units, down 4.7 percent versus last year.
"The all-new Acura RDX celebrated one of the strongest launches in our history, by breaking the record for total volume sales in any given month," Emile Korkor, Senior Manager and Brand Leader, Acura Canada, said. "The first new model to launch with Acura's Precision Crafted Performance design philosophy has heightened enthusiasm, desire and demand around the Acura brand, which is a fantastic sign of things to come."
In our continued commitment to providing our customers with a first-class service experience, the Acura brand initiated the Precision Concept Tour in June, a Cross-Canada educational experience for Acura service providers.

The four-city tour provided 318 Acura service technicians with a combined 84 hours of additional training to ensure Acura RDX customers receive the level of service and expertise that is expected from a premium brand.
"As one of our core models and a pillar in our lineup, the CR-V continued to outpace expectations and post a best-ever sales month in June," Jean Marc Leclerc, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Honda Canada, said. "While our core models continue to dominate sales, we're seeing strong enthusiasm around our alternative fuel vehicles, like the Clarity PHEV, which is paving the way for the launch of the all-new Honda Insight Hybrid later this month."
