Shoreline Entertainment, Lexicon release POINT DEFIANCE on DVD, VOD, EST on May 19

Justin Foia’s “POINT DEFIANCE” brings together producing partners Double El Productions and Room in the Sky Films in association with Lexicon Entertainment.

The psychological thriller is Foia’s directorial debut but his second release, he directed 2019’s “DOE” (with several members of “POINT DEFIANCE’s” team), which won the audience award at the Durango Film Festival.

The film is produced by veteran independent film producer Mark Mathias Sayre and executive produced by Larry Nealy and Steven Michael Swadling.

“POINT DEFIANCE” stars Derek Phillips, Josh Crotty (Scandal)Lauren Elaine (PARTY MONSTERS)Sarah Butler, and Steven Swadling (KICKBOXERs; DOE).

TV veteran Phillips was a regular on the hit “Friday Night Lights” and “Longmire” among others, while Butler (I Spit On Your Gave and I Spit On Your Grave 3has starred in another of Sayre’s producing efforts, “DOUBTING THOMAS.”
Written by first-time screenwriting brothers Justin and Timothy Foia, the taut and suspenseful film focuses on stockbroker Peter Allen (Phillips), whose world is turned upside down when his troubled younger brother Alex (Crotty) returns from military duty in Afghanistan while Peter is under house arrest, forcing the elder brother to dig into a dark and secret past that he’d sooner remain hidden.
“Tim and I have been writing together since we were kids,” Foia said upon completing the film“We’ve both lived in the Seattle area and were inspired by the rugged beauty of Puget Sound. The setting felt like a haunting place for such a story as ours and Vashon Island served as the perfect backdrop for the film given that it is right off the coast of Point Defiance.
