The Nocturne Theater; Glendale, CA

A Thrilling Rock-Opera Adaptation Of The Classic Horror Tale

The Nocturne Theater, Los Angeles’ premier venue for bold and intimate theatrical experiences, is proud to present Dracula: The Musical, opening on August 8th, 2025 and running through August 31st, 2025. Dracula: The Musical is a chilling operatic drama of suspense and gothic romance, from the extraordinary team of Christopher Hampton, Don Black and Frank Wildhorn (Jekyll & Hyde, The Scarlet Pimpernel & The Civil War).

Set in Europe at the end of the Victorian Age, this story follows the famed vampire as he lusts for new blood, crossing oceans of time in pursuit of his long-lost love, Mina Murray. Dracula leaves a bloody nightmare in his wake as he hunts for Mina, facing off against her fiance Johnathon Harker and the famed vampire hunter Professor Van Helsing. Mina struggles against her own mortal fears, her darkest desires and the erotic temptations of the flesh.

Director Justin Meyer has this to say about the upcoming production: “Dracula: The Musical will enthrall audiences with its powerful score played LIVE by our house rock-band, its soaring operatic vocals, its high-flying aerial acrobatics, its richly ornate costuming and its blood-splattering special FX, Themed Cocktails and Mocktails! This show is rarely done in the United States, so this will be a very special opportunity for Wildhorn and Dracula fans to come out and see it done in the round a truly unique and epic way that only The Nocturne Theatre can do!”

Dracula: The Musical will feature director Justin Meyer as the titular character, Dracula. Justin was seen last season as Dr. Henry Jekyll & Mr. Edward Hyde in The Nocturne Theatre’s production of another Wildhorn favorite, Jekyll & Hyde, cementing the The Nocturne Theatre’s growing reputation as being “the place to see Wildhorn musicals done right!”

Rounding out the rest of the cast is Samantha Rose as Mina, Kelly Krippendorf as Lucy, AJ Castro as Harker, J.D. Wallis as Van Helsing, Andrew Diego as Renfield, Christian Lees as Jack, Tyler Angier as Arthur, Truman Bjarke as Quincey, Abhaya Krishnan-Jha as Vampiress (singer), Lisa-Marie Burnside as Vampiress (aerialist), Rachel Fictum as Vampiress (aerialist), Kimberly Butler as Vampiress (aerialist) and the Dracula Band, led by Chris Wade. The show is directed by Justin Meyer, music directed by Chris Wade, and features aerial choreography by Lisa-Marie Burnside and fight/dance choreography by Melissa Meyer.

Tickets for Dracula: The Musical start at $44.50 with the booking fee and are available for purchase at thenocturnetheatre.com.
