The 2025 holiday season is upon us and Universal Studios Hollywood continues their tradition of bringing a festive event which delights.
For several years Universal Studios Hollywood has put on an event which puts park guests in the holiday spirits.
As Harry Potter fans Christmas in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter is always a highlight as well as having dinner at Three Broomsticks.
The frog choir’s traditional holiday a capella performance is a staple of the event which is a great way for guests to take a break from what the park has to offer and enjoy their hot, cold, or frozen Butterbeer.
The Three Broomsticks is an incredible restaurant with some great selections. It has become a tradition to stop by and have dinner at the restaurant. Trying their latest seasonal item is a great experience. At the moment they are serving their holiday plate which Turkey, stuffing, Brussel sprouts, and cranberry sauce.
The Magic of Christmas at Hogwarts™ Castle light projection show is magical. The story told through light projection and music brings in hundreds of guests who all seem to enjoy the show. The show is about 15-minutes long, the standing area to view can fill up quickly so make sure to be aware of the times for the show.
While the Christmas decorations for the Wizarding World of Harry Potter may not seem like much, one night time comes and the the town twinkles under the night sky the magical atmosphere is seen and felt.
The 65-foot topsy-turvy Grinchmas tree is the center of the festivities as it serves as the background for the Who-inspired performances and also is part of the climax for the holiday events with a nightly tree lighting and snow fall.
The tree lighting and snow fall are spectacular as the performance leading up to the tree lighting is well in the tone of the Grinch movies.
The Who-inspired performances are wonderful and full of Christmas classics performed by incredibly talented performers.
For us, a photo with the Grinch was a must have, although the line was lengthy it moved at a moderate speed and still the Grinch gave every group enough attention to make the wait time worth it. Max the dog is also available for photos.
At Super Nintendo World guests will have an opportunity to collect seasonal digital stamps when using their interactive Power-Up Band™ from December 1 through February 28.
Some special holiday merchandise is also available for purchase at the 1-Up Factory™ shop within the land.
