@ThisFunktional talks with celebrities in attendance for the LA special screening of LionsGate’s THE FURIOUS at the Hollywood Legion Theater in partnership with Beyond Fest.
After the daughter of Wang Wei (Xie Miao) is kidnapped by a criminal network and he receives no help from the corrupt police, Wei sets out on a rampage to find her himself. His only ally is Navin (Joe Taslim) – a relentless journalist whose wife has mysteriously disappeared. Fueled by a furious vengeance, the unlikely duo ruthlessly fights against the kidnappers in this explosive martial arts showdown.
Director Kenji Tanigaki, producers Bill Kong, Frank Hui, and stars Xie Miao, Joe Taslim, and Brian Le kicked off the Special Screening of THE FURIOUS at the Hollywood Legion Theater to celebrate the film’s upcoming release.
Fans packed the venue, with the line stretching around the building before doors even opened.
The night began with a roaring welcome as the cast and filmmakers took the stage for a conversation with Beyond Fest’s Christian Parkes, discussing their passion for the Hong Kong action cinema genre and the overwhelmingly positive response the film has received from critics, including its current perfect Rotten Tomatoes score.
