Produced by MÄDA's longtime collaborator Thaddeus Dixon (Bryson Tiller, Meghan Trainor, NeYo), "Lights Off" is the perfect addition to your bedroom playlist.
MÄDA tells VIBE how "Lights Off" came to life:A Los Angeles transplant by way of Boca Raton, FL, MÄDA has spent time in the studio with musical visionaries like Dr. Dre, The Underdogs and Mario Winans.
"Last November, I was introduced to songwriter Jazmyn Boodram by my producer, Thaddeus Dixon ... It was mid-November and chilly outside, and Jazmyn and I were in the ‘cuffin’ season’ mood, [laughs]. We were sitting on the couch Indian style with the lights off, candles lit and the red wine was flowing … before we knew it ‘Lights Off’ was written."
The singer-songwriter is currently working on her debut project, scheduled for release in early 2017.
